Belated Merry, Merrys From My Dishpan to Yours!
I have been unable to write since my post on December 1st. about Top Gun hero and crimminal, Randy "Duke" Cunningham - the greedy, dishonest, manipulative Republican former congressman.
I did not even get near the computer but thrice during the three and one half weeks that preceeded Christmas, and then, I only did ten minute checks on my e-mail. There was not time to write, and I did not have the energy, or possess the ability to place words together in the sequences required to structure a sentence. Everything I had was focused on preparation for the Christmas Holiday. My goal, as always, is create a magical and enjoyable Christmas experience, for my family, friends, and neighbors. And I was busy trying not to get sicker from the cold/sinus misery that was slowing me down.
Every day I pushed myself to the point where I could no longer read or think. There was nothing left to do but to fall into the goodness of the deep, weary sleep one requires to recharge one's battery. So, I did not write.
Back on October 27th, I posted a comment about this being my busiest time of the year.....Boy! Was that ever an understatement! I was a multi-tasking madwoman armed with lists and clipboards, scissors and tape, cards, boxes and postage stamps. Whirling from task to task, I must have resembled a tornado funnel spinning with bits and pieces of ribbon and wrapping paper. I did not dare to venture into the public without changing out of my baking clothes which were coated with layers of flour, unidentifible sticky stuff, and cookie crumbs.
It is all done now. We had a beautiful, wonderful, magical Christmas filled with love, laughter, family, and friends. I hope that all of you were able to enjoy and appreciate your family and friends as much as we did ours. That, to me, is what Christmas is all about.
***NOTE.....I was going to write yesterday, Dec. 26th, but it took me until 1:00 in the afternoon just to get dressed and I had my nighty back on by 5:00! It was a day of much needed rest and recuperation. Today, I have recovered enough to post this message, and wash a sinkful of dishes. I plan to post some "Dishpan Chronicles" politics real soon!
.......From my heart to yours, Merry, Merrys.........
