Thanksgiving Tiny Bubbles
Tiny Bubbles are thought blips titled so with a nod to my ukelele playing husband.
- Other than our being disappointed about the lousy Thanksgiving Day Parade coverage on television (see previous post), Thanksgivng at our house was lovely. It was wonderful because everyone pitched in to prepare some of the food and to help with clean-up. Both of our grown sons and our daughter spent time in the kitchen which helped to make for a more relaxing, enjoyable day for my husband and I. The food was delicious, too! Later on we all watched "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and all of the extras provided on the deluxe version of the DVD. A good time was had by all.
- My vote for the best Thanksgiving Day Cartoon appeared in the funny papers the Sunday prior to the holiday. Cartoonist Lalo Alcaraz's strip, La Cucaracha is a favorite of mine. This cartoon was entitled "Republican of the Month Club" and pictured Barbara Bush holding a platter of bones while saying "Thanksgiving really worked out for the Turkey and the Indians".
- I hope that each and everyone of you had a family holiday as enjoyable as ours.
