PNAC - The "Founders List of Losers"

The Project for the New American Century issued a Statement of Principles on June 3, 1997 which was signed by a group of men and two women who are considered to be its "founders". This neoconservative think-tank is responsible for formulating the plan to invade Iraq, lobbying that plan, and cherry-picking and propagandizing the intelligence that led to the U.S. invasion of Iraq. The Chickenhawk Gentle's Club, my pet name for PNAC, is in the building business...that is, the building of Empire. Unfortunately, members of this dangerous organization have penetrated the highest levels of our government.

Many of the names are very recognizable, as some of these men served under Reagan and have returned to hold influencial and powerful postitions in the administration of George W. Bush. That many of the appointments were part of a planned agenda and based on a system of political patronage rather than merit is most disturbing.

THE PNAC CHICKENHAWK FOUNDER'S LIST OF LOSERS

Elliott Abrams
...Heeeee's baaack......that champion of the Iran-Contra scandal who lied to Congress. Wasn't it nice for Bush Sr. to pardon him? What kind of dirty work is he up to now?

Gary Bauer
...neoconservative, fundamentalist President of American Values and chairman of the Campaign for Working Families.

William J. Bennet
...a morality monger noted for his addiction to gambling.

Jeb Bush
...the president's brother, a loyal PNAC member, and governor of Florida who is known for his vote stealing capers in two elections.

Dick Cheney
...Yep, he's still Vice President (with the emphasis on "VICE"), this former CEO of Halliburton.

Eliot A. Cohen
...Military historian, author, and member of the Pentagon's private think-tank, the Defense Policy Board. George W. Bush is rumored to have read, "Supreme Command: Soldier, Statesmen and Leadership in Wartime" by Cohen prior to sending our kids to war in Iraq. Hhhmmmmm.........was it the book that was wrong or George?

Midge Decter
...a neoconservative journalist who is against her own sex (she betrayed her sisters by standing against women's liberation), same sex relationships, and probably any kind of sex at all! The poor dear is married to Norman Podhoretz.

Paula Dobriansky
...neocon pundit, Undersecretary for Global Affairs, and an enthusiastic "spreader" of Democracy.

Steve Forbes
...rich social conservative who embraces supply-side economics.
He can afford to. He's on the side that gets supplied!

Aaron Friedberg
...Princeton professor and Henry Kissenger clone, Friedberg left in 2003 to serve Dick Cheney as Deputy Assistant to the V.P. for National Security Affairs and Director of Policy Planning. He has since bailed and returned to Princeton.

Francis Fukuyama
...neocon, American political economist, serves on Bush's Council of Bioethics, best known for his "End of History" thesis, signed the 1997 PNAC statement but later opposed the invasion of Iraq.

Frank Gaffney
...founder and CEO of Century for Security Policy, talking head - tv pundit on all channels it seemed, during the rush to war and the American invasion of Iraq with its stunning "Shock and Awe" snuff footage - a chickenhawks' hawk who advocates the disemboweling of all arms control treaties.

Fred C. Ikle
...an old hawk, served under Nixon and Reagan, a Distinguished Scholar with the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Donald Kagan
...father of Robert Kagan, historian and classical scholar at Yale, authored a Chicken Little "the sky is falling" book describing the threat of potential WMDs in Iraq to worry Americans into increased military spending.

Zalmay Khalilzad
...American citizen, who as a native Afghan, slid into service as Bush Jr.'s U.S. Ambassador in Afghanistan. Noted for his cameleon-like political affiliations, he reminds one of the side-switching, flip-flopping Afghan war lords. George W. Bush's choice for U.S. Ambassador in Baghdad.

I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby
...Is "Scooter" his fratboy nickname? Implicated in the "outing of Valerie Plame", Dick Cheney's Chief of Staff co-wrote a defense policy guidance memorandum with Paul Wolfowitz that advocated both the use of preemptive force and unilateralism. This "policy" later formed the foundation of both PNAC's and George W. Bush's national security strategies.

Norman Podhoretz
...yet another arrogant neoconservative intellectual but this one believes that we are currently engaged in "World War IV"! Hitler started "World War II" and it's a guess, but could World War III have been the Cold War when the American military-industrial complex made millions in pure profit? WWIV? Did Norman have a hand in starting this? Spouse of Midge Decter and Elliott Abram's father-in-law. Hey, its all in the family!

Dan Quayle
...the "deer in the headlights" former Vice President of the United States (!?!)

Peter W. Rodman
...Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs.

Stephen P. Rosen
...the Benton Michael Kaneb Professor of National Security and Military Affairs at Harvard University he holds a Harvard Ph.D in political science.

Henry S. Rowen
...Senior fellow emeritus at the Hoover Institution.

Donald Rumsfeld
...nitpicking fussbudget, extremist Secretary of Defense with a face "like a leering skull of death" whose henny-penny bungling and micromismanagement of the War in Iraq has cost thousands of innocent lives. It is said that working for him is like working for Leona Helmsley.

Vin Weber
...former Republican Congressman from Minnosota, "superlobbyist" partner at the Washington consulting firm Clark & Weinstock, co-founder and co-director of Empower America, and Chairman of the board at the National Endowment for Democracy.

George Weigel
...Roman Catholic theologian, a Senior Fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, a social conservative blinded by "moral Clarity".

Paul Wofowitz
...neoconservative extremist, the former Deputy Secretary of Defense and architect of the Iraq War, was chosen in 2005 by George W. Bush to become the 10th President of the World Bank. Wolfowitz, along with PNAC members Richard Perle (the Prince of Darkness) and Douglas Feith (Tommy Franks referred to him as "the dumbest f***ing guy on the planet" and "a theorist whose ideas were often impractical") are dedicated Zionists who hold dual citizenships in Israel. This conflict of interests is extreme and frightening in that these men have been more than willing to fight for Israel with the blood of American kids and their parents money.

There are many more dregs of humanity who comprise the membership of The Project for the New American Century but I have sickened myself with this crawl through the sewer of "The New America". I will write about the rest of the slime in a future post.

Remember............

George W. Bush is just a hood ornament on PNAC's preemptive Humvee.

The sun is shining and the birds are singing.
I am off to seek restoration on my patio.

Whew! That's a hell of a roster. It's nice to know we have such great leaders.

TOM...Yeah, ain't it wonderful.

OKLIBERAL...Your new name looks good! I followed pretty much the same path as you did which led me to Leo Strauss.

There is also quite a bit about him on the DVD I purchased and reviewed (posted) in the beginning of July entitled, "Hijacking Catastrophe - 9/11, Fear & the Selling of American Empire". Dr. Shadia Drury does a whole piece on Strauss and the development of the American neoconservative movement (look in the extras).

Additionally, I ordered one of Dr. Drury's books, "Leo Strauss and the American Right" but have not read it yet because we are taking an unexpected vacation in two weeks and I am saving it to read on the plane.

So far what I find most ugly and disturbing about Strauss and his followers is their arrogant superiority and belief that being superior entitles them to make the decisions for everyone else (because they are the only ones "in the know" and therefore capable of deciding what is good or not for everyone). They also believe that perpetual war is both a factor and a necessity and that the superior elite "should" lie to the masses. PNAC's Straussian fingerprints are all over the War in Iraq and the lies that were told to the American public.

The more I research the various members of PNAC the more I find them not to be superior but to be ignorant, prone to fantasy, psychologically imbalanced (ill) and irresponsible. They remind me of a gang of little boys in a treehouse or fort who pretend to rule a mock world and make up the game as they go. And hey don't you know it, when it's time to put away their toys and clean up the mess they are no where to be found!
