PNAC - Chickenhawk Gentlemen's Club
I can't stop thinking about the groups of men who sit together and plan attacks against peaceful societies made up of non-threatening civilians. Shared ideologies draw such men to one another. Together, drunk with purpose, they plot to impose their values on populations they consider to be inferior or morally base. Obsessively focused, these creatures salivate with excitement at the prospect of forcing their plans on targeted people.
The "end justifies the means" mentality exhibited by the men who form this type of group is a threat to all of us on the planet. Arrogant, ignorant, and prone to fantasy, these "group thinkers" lust for domination on a scale unimaginable to those of us who are not endowed with such superiority.
Hitler and the German High Command come to mind as an excellent example of such a fellowship. The Attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the current series of bombings in Iraq, London, and Egypt glaringly call to our attention another malevolent brotherhood: Al-Qaeda. That only Europe and the Middle East spawn such fanatic fascines is a dangerously naive and very American assumption.
"The Project For A New American Century", or PNAC, is a homegrown neoconservative cabal that is housed in the American Enterprise Institute building in Washington, D.C. A think-tank founded by William Krystal and Robert Kagen in 1997, PNAC promotes national security and foreign policies that advance American hegemony based on the broad use of military force.
The members of this radical neoconservative fraternity saw the end of The Cold War as an opportunity not for world peace, but for U.S. global domination and the total control of space as well. The next one hundred years would belong to the Americans whose "New" approach would include: the spurning of international law and international treaties, unilateralism, a considerable increase in defense spending, the strategic placement of permanent military bases from which U.S. forces could rapidly enforce policy or protect newly-claimed American interests, and the use of preemptive strikes against other nations.
PNAC's September 2000 report entitled, "Rebuilding America's Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources For a New Century was referred to by The Sunday Herald as a "blueprint of world domination". Authored by PNAC's founding intellectual, neoconservative supremacist Paul Wolfowitz, the 2000 report was a revised version of the "Defense Planning Guidance" which he drafted for the Department of Defense in 1992. Wolfowitz's "Guidance", based on concepts of unilateralism and preemption, was shelved by then president, George H. W. Bush who deemed it far too radical for practical application. A sleeper, it was labeled "The Wolfowitz Doctrine", and did not surface again until after 9/11 when it was quickly renamed "The Bush Doctrine". Evidently, "The War President", George W. Bush, along with PNAC conspirators who had managed to infiltrate the highest levels of the United States government, felt that the time had come to implement Wolfowitz's 1992 radical plan for empire. Step one was an invasion of Iraq.
A letter from PNAC to George W. Bush just days after the 9/11 attacks called for action against Osama Bin Laden and Hezbullah but centered on Saddam Hussein and Iraq. The following words from the PNAC letter mark the return to a war that its members felt had been left unfinished ten years before. "It may be that the Iraqi government provided assistance in some form to the recent attack on the United States. But even if the evidence does not link Iraq directly to the attack, any strategy aiming at the eradication of terrorism and its sponsors must include a determined effort to remove Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq. Failure to undertake such an effort will constitute an early and perhaps decisive surrender in the war on international terrorism". Iraq was central to PNAC's plan to establish control in the Middle East first as a base from which to launch U.S. invasions of Syria and Iran, and then as a continuing source of oil for a conquering army on the move. The people were written off, they did not matter.
What followed was a massive propagnada blitz on the American public and the "Shock and Awe" bombardment of Baghdad that started the Bush Administration's war on Iraq.
Many have wondered how Hitler and the German High Command gained power in Germany and why the German people supported the Nazi movement. We have all lived the answers to these questions. They have been playing like a bad movie right in front of our faces since the 2000 election that began the "New American Century".
Strip away the diverse layers of flags, gods, and ideologies, and it is evident that they are alike, these different groups of men who sit together to design destruction, these men who are disconnected from society and lack completely common human empathy, these men who visit violence, horror, misery, and death upon others in exchange for power and control. How can they stand themselves?
*Note....."Members of The Project For A New American Century" are directly responsible for the skewed intelligence, the lies, the preemptive war, and the deaths of 128,000 Iraqi men, women, and children as well as the deaths of close to 2,000 U.S. and coalition military personel combined.
It has taken me all week to write this post given the subject matter, the research, the heat, and all of my other responsibilities and I am still not quite finished with PNAC! I will be posting a list of some of its members with a few short biographies.
....Stay tuned and Stay Cool......

Yup, they're the culprits. They oughtta all be drafted. The shock of physical activity and having to take orders would probably be fatal to that pitiful group of trustfunded sheltered bastards.
And the way the Army keeps raising the enlistment age (soon to be 42), the PNAC members may eventually be young enough to get drafted.
TOM...The majority of these PNAC madmen believe that they are intellectually superior to everyone else (on the globe) and that is what they base their fanciful foreign policy on. If we locked members of PNAC, Hitler and his genius groupies, and Osama Bin Lauden and his "suiciders" together we would find little difference in their ideologies. The biggest disagreement would be over which of the groups was superior and by what argument.
I agree that we should draft them. I have long said that politicians and others who use war as an "first resort" and profit from it's products should be "boots on the ground" leading the forces into battle. Leaders are replaceable and we have a large and diverse population from which to select new ones.
Excellent post, KWW. The web of the PNAC is scary, and those who point at it are dismissed as conspiracy theorists. How convenient.
How do you willingly follow a policythat could well lead to your own death, when it was crafted by people who thought themselves to be above being asked for anything?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again-among our Flying Monkeys you will most certainly find the same sense of self-importance. And it's all bogus, to be sure-I doubt seriously even one light bulb would go unchanged if these scum were shipped off to Baghdad tomorrow.
JET...PNAC "IS" very scary! The insanity runs deep and wide. I have a file on them. Over the years they have gotten worse. While doing even more research and writing this post I felt like I was trying to keep my head above water in a tar pit. These folks are pure dark, evil, dirty sticky murk...yech, bleh, yech!! They are the conspirators...they conspired to get us into this war.
OKDEMOCRAT...Americans think that they "helping" people in other countries by exploiting them (those people don't deserve that oil - they don't know how to manage it. They are like children.). After all, those people should be grateful, shouldn't they? Weren't the Iraqis going to meet our troops with roses and sweets and kiss their feet in gratitude for their dead kids and bombed homes? That was Paul Wolfowitz's fantasy.
Yeah, we loose jobs, too! Fresh cheap blood over there, somewhere, to nourish American corporate vampires. Here at home there is always the military...food, medical AND a paycheck.
Good point about the alliance between religion and big business...sort of a fascist trait, ain't it? I wonder if the increasing hunger for power is an addiction and if maybe we should screen such personality types from positions of power in our society. They seem to be willing to do almost anything to get more...just like a crack addicts. The exploitation of various human tragedies for propaganda purposes is beneath contempt....in a nutshell...PNAC.
JOLLYROGER...I think that you willingly follow such madness because you are told since birth that YOU must SACRIFICE. How primative!! You never see those who tell YOU to SACRIFICE (kings and priests) going without anything themselves or placing themselves and their offspring in danger. Somehow YOU respond to the guilt buttons that were long ago installed in your mind by the nationalistic and the religious. Those who call for SACRIFICE should answer the call themselves....Hummmm...mmmmmm...Maybe SACRIFICE wasn't needed after all?
And as far as YOU go just say NO..like some of us do, huh, Jolly Roger?
These PNAC guys don't know how to do anything (like work) other than be self-important!
That only Europe and the Middle East spawn such fanatic fascines is a dangerously naive and very American assumption.
Well, garsh, that's because we are the greatest country on Earth...or haven't you heard? [sarc.]
America is a great country, but the hubris infecting the current administration (and the public's willingness to follow along) is anything but harmless patriotism.
Scary, indeed.
Good post.
