The GOP - Lust For Bloodmoney

" The GOP" -

Will Lie, Manipulate, Commit Mayhem,
and Murder For Money

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Early last month the "do-nothing Congress" did something. They earmarked 20 million American taxpayer dollars for an Iraqi War "Victory" celebration to take place some time in the mythical "mission accomplished" future. Victory?? Celebration??

655,000 Iraqis have been murdered and 800,000 thousand more have been terrorized and maimed. Close to 3,000 American service men and women have been murdered and another 20,000 wounded. Who murdered these people? Why were these lives destroyed or taken?

The illegal act of aggression mounted against the sovereign country of Iraq by the NeoCon Bush administration began with a Hitler-esque blitzkrieg that was meant to terrorize it's victims, military and civilian alike, into complete submission. The barrage, that reigned down from the sky upon the men, women, and children who inhabit the oil rich nation, bore the malevolent moniker, "Shock and Awe". Thus named, America's arrogant, cold-blooded, imperialistic intentions illuminated the night sky above Baghdad in March of 2003.

Where were the Americans who profess to "value" the family when Iraqi families were being targeted by lethal lies? Where were the church leaders who worship "the Prince of Peace" when those who embrace the "Gods of War" were amassing their army? Empathy? Compassion? Brotherly love? Where in the Hell was concern for one's fellow human beings?

Where was half of America when morality was replaced with contemptuous amorality?

The whole world was watching as the Americans who couldn't even find Iraq on a map painted their faces with the red, white, and blue stripes of war. The whole world looked on in dismay while the discussion and debate required to sustain its oldest functioning democracy were squelched by bloodthirsty ignorance. When the rockets glared red over the destruction in Baghdad, the whole world turned away in disgust at the Americans who high-fived and stadium-cheered with the glee so oft savored by conquerors.

After visiting four years of destruction and despair on both the Iraqis, and Americans they are elected to represent, the GOP-controlled Congress voted for a 20 million dollar party; a victory celebration when all had already been lost with the telling of the first lie. There will be no victory in the American war against Iraq. Victory died when the murder began. There is no victory in massacre.

There are those in America who do have reason to CELEBRATE for they alone have been victorious. Corporate members of America's military-industrial complex have BILLIONS of reasons to celebrate. Their investments in the current president, his administration, and the Congress have paid off handsomely. Privatization, no-bid contracts, no governmental oversight, unimaginable mismanagement, systematic overcharges, inferior products made of cheap materials, and out and out theft have buried the next three generations of American taxpayers under a mountain of debt.

Why bother with Congress at all? Let's all hand our paychecks directly to the following corporate war profiteers:

Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, The Carlyle Group, Custer Battles, Halliburton (Kellogg, Brown and Root), Bechtel, Worldcom, CACI and Titan, BAE Systems, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Aegis Defense Services, BKSH & Associates, United Technologies, L-3 Communications, Computer Sciences Corp., Bearing Point, Loral Sattellite, and Qualcomm.

For more in depth information on corporate war profiteers visit Corp Watch here.

Billions in bloodmoney profits have not stopped the war profiteers from asking their stable of Congressional whores for more. THEY don't want to pay for their Victory party. The 20 Million Dollar Celebration is to be paid for by the average working American.

It is time for Americans to abandon the GOP and their corporate clients. It is time for those who voted for this president and this Congress, and supported their illegal, preemptive aggression against Iraq, to take full responsibility for the ongoing human suffering and death.

It is time for one half of America to APOLOGIZE and to the other half of America...Where is your OUTRAGE?

George W. Bush said,"When you cut and run you're pulling out before the job is done." Well George, the time to pull out is long past because you sure have done a heckuva job on the Iraqis and your fellow Americans, too!

It is time to PULL OUT OF IRAQ and END THIS WAR!

Hi, welcome back KWW. I was beginning to think they took you to Gitmo or something.

You're right about Congress being just a middleman; a secretary. CEOs and lobbyists are writing the laws and running the country. They might as well just outsource their secretarial pool (Congress) to China or India.

It's definitely time to vote these warmongers out. If not next Tuesday, when?

Great to see you again, WindowWoman!! I was afraid there'd be no discussion before election day... I'm glad you're back on track.

I have several liberal friends who occassionally bring up similar arguments... that KBR, Halliburton and their ilk are profiteering from the rebuilding of Iraq. Or that conditions over there are even worse than ever, etc. etc.

But something that came up in our last discussion was the "Bagdhad Burning" blog out of Iraq. Lets forget for the moment all the questions regarding RiverBend's pre-liberation loyalties or her family's Bathist-party-afforded affluence... and solely look at her reporting of conditions:

She now has 24-hr electricity and water, her internet connection is stable... why, her most recent post has several screenshots of Iraqi television channels!! And she complains about the costs of CDs and lemons.

That sounds like convincing evidence that conditions are significantly better than they were a year ago... or two years ago... or even three.

The simple fact is that there are very few Iraqi firms that can handle the reconstruction projects that are required over there. Security becomes an enormous expense when you have 3 tribal identities trying to kill each other, and anyone who gets between them.

Perhaps we should go back to Saddam's method of security maintenance - an Iron Fist, rape rooms, and periodic gassings?

TOM...Thanks
Nope, I'm not in Gitmo but if I ever was I'm sure there would be a lot of other freedom loving Americans in there with me.

I did a burnout thing and there was much to take care of on the home front. My husband and I did manage a two week get away at the end of September which was restorative for both of us.

This Congress rubber stamped an illegal war and has raped the Constitution. Damn, I hope they are all voted out today!

BRAD...
Thanks...I'm all for getting the bobble heads out of office and for opening investigations into their money connections, etc. How many make money from the war corporations or have been promised jobs when their terms are over?

I haven't changed your link yet...I will soon...I have alot of housekeeping to do on the Dishpan.
