I am always so pleased to encounter another blogger with what I think are similarities, if I may be so presumptuous. I live in Texas, and am a retired clinical social worker. I am a progressive living in a very Red state, just hanging on until the next elections. I started this blog because I felt that I had to do something about the situation in this country. I also feel that liberals, progressives, and those who have beliefs that differ from the control freaks on the right, need to speak up by being themselves. There are as many different types of people, lifestyles, and beliefs to celebrate as there are colors of Easter eggs. The more the merrier! We Americans don't need to be conservative clones or non-thinking slaves of a corporate-aristocratic ruling class.

I am enjoying spring and would enjoy it even more so if it would stop raining. We have had some unusual weather here in Southern California but then the weather the world over has been unusual in recents years...global warming.
