Good question. I discovered your blog at BlogExplosion, and it was like a breath of fresh air. I am always so pleased to encounter another blogger with what I think are similarities, if I may be so presumptuous. I live in Texas, and am a retired clinical social worker. I am a progressive living in a very Red state, just hanging on until the next elections. I write a daily political blog called South by Southwest, and another almost daily blog, Southwest Blogger, which comes out of my more "creative" self.
I went to the beginning of your blog and read your very first post. I was immediately drawn to your writing. I like the way you honor the suds of honest work and honest thought -- done at the same time. I will visit your blog often, and will eventually catch up reading your entries. Happy Easter to you.
Firstly thank you for for visiting me, and for your kind comments.
I think I shall follow Carol's path and read your blogs from start to finish as I too have found much that I like here.
I hope you are enjoying spring
CAROL GEE...I stopped by your blogs and liked them both. I agree that there are similarities.
I started this blog because I felt that I had to do something about the situation in this country. I also feel that liberals, progressives, and those who have beliefs that differ from the control freaks on the right, need to speak up by being themselves. There are as many different types of people, lifestyles, and beliefs to celebrate as there are colors of Easter eggs. The more the merrier! We Americans don't need to be conservative clones or non-thinking slaves of a corporate-aristocratic ruling class.
Hope that you had a lovely holiday. Ours was very enjoyable.
MSDEMMIE...I really enjoyed your story about the kind doctor, his wife and their wonderful garden. I am also the mother of three grown children, and a grandmother as well.
I am enjoying spring and would enjoy it even more so if it would stop raining. We have had some unusual weather here in Southern California but then the weather the world over has been unusual in recents years...global warming.
I am glad that you visited. I will be sure to visit you again, too.
Happy Easter. Happy Spring.
Happy Easter to you and yours! Enjoy this period of rebirth and new life!!
