Iraq Veterans Memorial

I agreed to host the Iraq Veterans Memorial to mark the fourth anniversary of the tragic beginning, four years ago, of this ill-conceived, unnecessary war against Iraq and to honor those who have lost their lives. Far too many lives have been extinguished: Iraqi and American. I am only sad that we cannot memorialize the Iraqi lives lost as I am sure they were each and every one loved, and are missed as well. Please view this heartrending video.

The following is a message from the Iraq Veterans Memorial team.

"We are proud and honored to present to you the Iraq Veterans Memorial.

This memorial was concieved as a place to honor the servicemembers who lost their lives over the pasr four years during the Iraq War. By watching the videos you will have the opportunity to learn about these hereos from those who knew them best - their family, friends, and fellow servicemembers. Each man and woman represented in the memorial has attributes and qualities that made them unique, but they all have one thing in common - they were truly loved and are deeply missed.

Sincerely,
Jim Miller and the team at Brave New Foundation"

Anonymous, another brave chickenhawk? Well, no matter, we know they are still out there, the Kool Aid drinkers, the one's who have never served and never will, yet who want us and our children to "answer the call". Fuck you anonymous. Hide like the ball-less waste you are.

KWW, saw the vid, very upsetting so I'll have to return to read the rest. I need a little quiet time right now.

Excellent post.

I think Anonymous was offended because I mentioned the Iraqis who have been killed a as result of Bush's war. Many Americans don't view the Iraqis as people just like us.

My husband and I watched this video together. It is very upsetting. I ended up in tears. I know that it must have been very difficult for you to watch but you had the courage and dedication to do so.

It is veterans like you and some of the WWII vets who have experienced the nightmare of war that I am proud of because you stand against the madness in order to preserve life.

May your quiet time be restorative.
